CGAP eyes bigger steps on its 3rd anniversary

From what started as a simple spin fest up to partaking in national to international competitions, the Color Guard Alliance of the Philippines Inc. vies for more fast paced future projects and alliances within the Philippines, to Asia and soon, to the world as it marks its 3rd year anniversary in service.
Founded in July 28, 2015, CGAP started as a non-profit organization aimed to unite the color guard community in the Philippines – eyed to enhance its artistry and the beauty of its pageantry.
CGAP also administers local color guard instructors. Over the years, series of workshops across the country were conducted helping young color guards enhance their knowledge and techniques in flag spinning.
Several local groups were also sent and endorsed by CGAP to international music championships as well as Asian legs of the Winter Guard International (WGI) in Thailand and Indonesia.
Last June 2018, CGAP together with its sister associations (DAP, PBTA, and PDLAI) and its new partner, the City of Bacoor, held the very first Bacoor International Music Championships and WGI Philippines at the Mall of Asia Arena. It drew a flock of drum corps fans, supporters and even enthusiasts who united to support the Sport of the Arts. The BIMC was also sanctioned by the Asian Marching Band Confederation (AMBC).
And today, on its 3rd Year Anniversary, CGAP is ready to take bigger steps in the drum corps industry. With its stronger affiliation with the AMBC “The Marching Arts Power of Asia!” and WGI “Sport of the Arts,” bigger projects await the entire color guard and even the whole drum corps community in the Philippines.
CGAP, with their slogan #ColorsInMotion, still believes to share more learnings as it also continues to earn knowledge from alliances over the world. It encourages its members to #GearUp and #KeepOnSpinning, as CGAP continues to take bigger stages. (WSA/CGAP)
