PEKANBARU – The Indonesian Marching Arts Association (IMAA) and the Asian Marching Band Confederation (AMBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday night, March 2, 2019, in Pekanbaru, Riau.
According to the Chief of IMAA Governing Board, IF Setya Putra, this MoU between IMAA and AMBC is part and follow-up of the IMAA 2019 Strategic Planning and IMAA 2019 Work Plan, which maximizes every opportunity for the growth and development of Indonesian marching bands, as well as harmonizing and expanding relationship between partnerships or affiliations between IMAA and other organizations, on the basis of common principles and objectives, as well as a mutually respectful relationship with one another.
The scope of the memorandum of understanding includes opportunities for education and championships and other collaborations in the field of marching bands. This is in line with the mission and objectives to be achieved by IMAA, namely the growth and development of Indonesian marching bands and their Human Resources.
The signing of the MoU was combined in the Gala Dinner event, on the sidelines of the AMBC Judging Clinic which took place on Saturday and Sunday, March 2-3 2019. Also present at the event were Danlanud Roesmin Noejadin Pekanbaru, Head of Riau Province Head of Office, Chairman of Binpres PB PDBI, President of AMBC, AMBC Representative for Indonesia, IMAA Board of Directors and AMBC Judging Clinic participants.
The MoU signed by IMAA and AMBC is the finalization of the results of the communication and the previous IMAA-AMBC Meeting, including discussions regarding the holding of two major championships in 2019 in Pekanbaru, Riau, namely the Asia Marching Arts (AMA) Indonesia Championship and Indonesia Marching Arts Championship (IMAC). *** / riil
